Maintaining your own presence on the web is highly recommended for all clubs. Having a presence that is independent of any one social media platform, or vendor, and that you and your members have full control over, is vital for an independent, strong club. Establishing your own domain name, also allows you control not only of your website, but emails and other tools. There are many tools available for creating and editing your web presence — some integrate better with email newsletters, membership tools, and payment systems.

Beehiiv

is a newsletter-first operating system for clubs. They have a free tier, and powerful tools for segmenting and analyzing your posts. Beehiiv also creates a website of posts for each newsletter sent, and you can also add internal and external pages.

Eventbrite

Substack

is a newsletter-centric solution that also provides a website, as well as a messaging system ‘Notes’ and Chat for interactions with members.

Wordpress

By far the most popular of the website building and hosting tools, provides a free-tier and basic email forwarding services. The RSS feed from Wordpress can also be used to generate emails with Beehiiv and other email tools.
